    Colorado State University Online, the Division of Continuing Education, is a self-supporting unit that develops and delivers quality programs and educational opportunities in support of the University’s land-grant mission. CSU Online provides affordable access to a quality education from wherever students call home around the nation and the world, on a schedule that fits their lives. CSU Online offers over 45 degrees, online and at a distance, as well as credit and noncredit courses, certificate programs, and digital badges.

    Position Summary
    This position will manage the development and ongoing maintenance of new and existing professional and noncredit programs at Colorado State University Online. As a part of the noncredit team, this position will evaluate competitive analysis reports and determine potential program viability. The Manager will be responsible for recruiting subject matter experts within industry, the public sector, and the University for development of digital badge and noncredit programs. The Manager is responsible for ensuring that internal CSU and external partner relationships result in the high quality, timely development of viable new programs and courses. The position is responsible for managing the course development process including but not limited to; creating new program proposals; establishing course development expectations and collaborating with subject matter experts to generate content, define outcomes, determine course or program structure, develop digital badge structure, and establish scaffolding into new or existing noncredit and professional development programs. The Manager will assume a key role in the roll out implementation of the new noncredit CMS and digital badging platforms creating internal staff training and coaching stakeholders. The Manager reports to the Head of Special Projects at CSU Online.     Required Job Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in communications, business, education, liberal arts, or related field.
    • Experience working in a program management, development, recruitment/retention role within a higher education distance education or continuing education unit.
    • Experience communicating, collaborating and problem solving with faculty and or external partners to build and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships.
    • The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; Continuing Education/CSU Online will not provide visa sponsorship for this position

    Preferred Job Qualifications
    • Master’s degree in communications, business, education, liberal arts, or related field.
    • Experience with program/course instructional development process.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong project planning and organizational skills.
    • Experience identifying, creating, and executing strategic partnerships.
    • Understanding of emerging instructional technologies including competency and skills-based digital badging platforms
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate/ interpret program data.
    • Understanding the higher education continuing education environment.
    • Strong, positive customer service skills including the ability to positively interact with students, faculty, colleagues, industry partners, and customers.
    • Experience with business-to-business sales and marketing outreach and digital strategies.
    • Ability to track and monitor a budget.
    • Strong ability to develop and manage internal and external processes.
    • Ability to initiate and execute complex projects with little or no oversight.
    • Ability to interpret evaluative program data to determine progress on initiatives.
    • Ability to work ethically with confidential information.
    • Expertise acquiring partnerships through regular phone, email or other communication vehicles.

    Essential Duties
    Job Duty Category Program Development and Management
    Duty/Responsibility
    • Execute the development of noncredit, professional education programs and courses.
    • Oversee processes of instructional design, work with programming and track new development progress, manage the course development schedule in consultation with the director and the instructional-design team to achieve readiness prior to start of development.
    • Collaborate with subject matter expert to ensure content relevance
    • Develop course and program outlines.
    • Provide program/course development support, oversight, communication with all stakeholders, and overall project management.
    • Manage digital badge and banner creation and publication.
    • Manage and support specified noncredit and digital badge program portfolio.
    • Communicate with CSU and external partners, gather and maintain program data, resolve issues and regularly assess the status of enrollments and marketing in programs and courses
    • Create enrollment and revenue reports for all noncredit /digital badge programs and report to partners for distribution/invoice compilation.
