    The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a Neurologist specializing in Inpatient Hospitalist Neurology. The rank of appointment (Assistant/Associate) is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant.



    Primary focus will be inpatient care with the possibility of participating in research through grants or clinical trials. Academic efforts may include clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.



    Essential Functions
    Provide expert clinical care in General Neurology.
    Document clinical findings, care plan, and actions taken according to departmental guidelines and standards.
    Maintain a working knowledge of relevant medical/legal issues that impact patient care.
    Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students, contributing to the academic mission through formal instruction and clinical supervision.
    Maintain accurate records and statistics in accordance with department policies.
    Attend and participate in staff, committee, department, and other administrative meetings.
    Participate in departmental collaboration, supporting strategic initiatives, program development, and multidisciplinary care coordination within the academic medical center.
    Participate in the department’s continuous quality improvement efforts.
    Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research.
    Provide education to other health care professionals.
    Other related duties as assigned


    Minimum Requirements
    Medical Degree (MD or DO)
    Completion of a 4-year residency in Neurology
    Active and unrestricted Ohio Medical License


    Physical Requirements/Work Environment
    Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
